Welcome to the website of HayesAgri, the new trading name for James Hayes Machinery Ltd.
A company, with a history which began in the early seventies, when the late James Hayes, then a farmer and agricultural contractor, began selling farm machinery and new Universal tractors, which had just been introduced to the Irish market.
Initially sales were conducted from his residence and while there were many sceptics; the Romanian product proved its worth with many of those early units still in use today.
In 1974 he purchased a small building (formerly
a VEC school) in the village of Ballagh and this was the workshop in the early years. Later some land was purchased beside the school and a larger workshop was built.
Hayesagri was incorporated in May 1977.
Most of the franchises are held by the company for more than ten years including SAME, Major, Krone, Amazone, Quicke and Conor. The company also sells new and used cars and light commercials. A comprehensive range of parts and after care is offered.
